Day 01 : Colombo (By Flight)
Arrive at Bandaranaike International airport, meet, assist and garland on
arrival. Transfer to Colombo hotel. Afternoon. Commence a sightseeing tour
of Colombo. Visit the fort and Pettah the hub of commercial activities, town
hall, independence square, BICH (Bandaranaike International Convention
Hall), national museum, drive through cinnamon gardens residential area,
visit the Dehiwala zoological gardens and witness famous elephant circus
which commences at 0515 hrs daily. Enroute to your hotel visit a Buddhist
temple and a Hindu temple. Overnight stay at a hotel in Colombo.
Day 02 : Colombo / Pinnewala / Sigriya. (By Surface)
After breakfast leave for Sigiriya at 0800 hrs. Enroute visit Pinnawala
elephant orphanage. Witness feeding of elephants including baby elephants
who are being fed with milk bottles and then all elephants will be taken to
the nearby river for their daily bath. Thereafter proceed to Sigiriya. Climb
the Sigiriya rock fortress and view the famous frescoes painted in a rock
pocket and also see the mirror wall. Overnight stay at a hotel in Sigiriya
Day 03 : Sigiriya / Dambulla / Kandy. (By Surface)
After breakfast leave for Kandy at 0830 hrs,Sri Lanka's hill capital.
Enroute visit Dambulla rock cave temple. Like Sigiriya, Dambulla rock temple
is a vast isolated rock mass and it was here that king Valagambahu took
refuge in the 01st century B.C. He later turned the caves into a rock
temple. Some of the frescoes found here are over 2,000 years old and there
is a colossal figure of the recumbent Buddha carved out of the living rock
some 14 metres long. Visit a spice garden at Matale and a wood carving
factory and also visit a batik factory. Continue to Kandy at around 1430
hrs. Check in at your hotel in Kandy. In the late evening visit Dalada
Maligawa where the temple of the sacred tooth relic of "The Buddha"
is enshrined and thereafter view a cultural performance depicting the low
and upcountry dancers and return to hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in
Kandy
Day 04 : Kandy
After breakfast at around 0900 hrs. commence a sightseeing tour of Kandy.
Visit the Peradeniya Botanical gardens, where you can view a rare collection
of tropical, exotic and indigenous flora; and the famous orchid house. Drive
around the upper lake drive and view the picturesque university campus
buildings of traditional Sinhalese architecture, Visit the market place and
the arts & crafts centre and return to hotel. Check out from hotel at
1300 hrs. Evening free time for shopping. Overnight stay at a hotel in
Kandy.
Day 05 : Kandy / Nuwara Eliya (By Surface)
After breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya at 0830 hrs. Enroute visit a tea
factory and a tea estate. Check in at a hotel in Nuwara-Eliya. Afternoon at
around 1430 hrs commence a sightseeing tour of Nuwara-Eliya visiting Hakgal
Botanical gardens with exotic trees, shrubs & herbs known to thrive best
in hilly country, which has an excellent rose garden one of the island's
finest collections, rare fernery including the giant tree fern of Sri Lanka.
Visit the famous golf course and the market place and return to hotel.

Day 06 : Nuwaraeliya / Bentota ( By Surface)
After breakfast leave for Bentota at 0830 hrs. Enroute visit the Galle
harbour, the former Dutch city and the Dutch fort and view the architecture
belonging to the Dutch era. Enroute stop for a ride in glass-bottom boat to
view coral reef. Overnight stay at a hotel in Bentota
Day 07 : Bentota Beach stay (Day Free)

Day 08 : Bentota / Colombo (By Surface) / Out (By Flight)
Morning at leisure. Around 1400 hrs transfer to airport for your departure
flight.

Day 06 : Nuwara Eliya / Yala National
Park (By Surface)
After breakfast leave for Yala at 0830 hrs. At 1430 hrs enroute visit to
Kataragama - this is a holy place for Buddhists, Hindus & Muslims. There
is a tradition that king Dutugemunu built a shrine to the god Karatagama in
the 2nd century B.C.; and the Buddhist Kirivehera Dagoba dates back to the
1st century B.C. The most important is the Maha Devala, supposedly
containing the lance of the six-faced, 12-armed Hindu war god Skanda.

Day 07 : Yala National Park
After breakfast at 0830 hrs embark on a safari on a private jeep to visit
the national park, home of the elephants, deer, sambhur, wild buffalos,
crocodiles, reptiles and many other animals. Return to hotel. Evening at
leisure. Overnight stay at a hotel in Hambantota
Day 08 : Yala National Park/ Bentota (By Surface)
After breakfast leave by surface for Bentota to continue with the tour as
per day 06 of main magical island programme.
