Day 01 : Airport/Colombo (35 kms, 01 hr)
Arrive at Bandaranaike International airport, meet, assist and garland on
arrival transfer to Colombo hotel. Afternoon at 1430 hrs. commence a
sightseeting tour of Colombo. Visit the fort and pettah the hub of
commercial activities, town hall, independence square, BICH (Bandaranaike
International Convention Hall), National Museum, drive through Cinnamon
Gardens residential area, visit the Dehiwala zoological gardens and witness
the famous elephant circus which commences at 0515 hrs daily. Enroute to
your hotel visit a Buddhist temple and a Hindu temple. Overnight Stay At a

Day 02 : Colombo / Anuradha Pura / Giritale (206 kms, 4.1/2 hrs)
After breakfast at hotel morning at 0800 hrs proceed to Anuradhapura.
Arrive at A'pura at around 1300 hrs and commence a sightseeing tour of
A'pura. A'pura founded in the 05th century B.C. has the largest number of
ancient monuments of the Great Sinhala civilzation which flourished in the
region. Taking pride of this place is the "Bo Tree" which is over
2,200 years old grown from a branch of the very tree under which the Buddha
attained enlightenment - The oldest historically documented tree in the
world. Thereafter proceed to Giritale. Overnight stay at a hotel in Giritale
Day 03 : Giritale / Sigiriya / Polonnaruwa / Giritale
Morning at 0800 hrs proceed to Sigiriya. Climb the Sigiriya rock fortress
and view the famous frescoes painted in a rock pocket and also see the
mirror wall and proceed to Polonnaruwa at 1500 hrs. Commence a sightseeing
tour of Polonnaruwa visit the ruins of the audience hall, council chamber,
the royal citadel, the Kumara Pokuna (pond) Royal Pavillion, Siva Dewale,
the Thuparama, the Vatadage relic house, Kiriwehera, Gal Vihare with some of
the most impressive sculptures, the reservoirs etc., and return to Giritale.

Day 04 : Giritale / Kandy
Morning at 0800 hrs proceed to Kandy, Sri Lanka's hill capital. Enroute
visit Dambulla rock cave temple like Sigiriya , Dambulla rock temple is a
vast isolated rock mass and it was here that King Valagambahu took refuge in
the 01st century B.C. He later turned the caves into a rock temple. Some of
the frescoes found here are over 2,000 years old and there is a colossal
figure of the recumbent Buddha carved out of the living rock some 14 metres
long. Visit a spice garden at Matale and a wood carving factory and also
visit a batik factory. Continue to Kandy at around 1430 hrs check in at your
hotel in Kandy. Late evening visit Dalada Maligawa where the temple of the
sacred tooth relic of "The Buddha" is enshrined and thereafter
view a cultural performance depicting the low and country dancers and return
to hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kandy.
Day 05 : Kandy / Pinnewala / Colombo
Morning at commence a sightseeing tour of kandy. Visit the Peradeniya
Botanical gardens, where you can view a rare collection of tropical, exotic
and indigenous flora, and the famous orchid house. Drive around the upper
lake drive and the picturesque university campus buildings of traditional
Sinhalese architecture, visit the market place and the arts & crafts
centre and return to hotel. Check out from hotel at 1300 hrs. leave for
Colombo. Enroute visit Pinnawala elephant orphanage. witness feeding of
elephants including baby elephants who are being fed with milk bottles and
thereafter view bathing of elephants. Continue to Colombo. Overnight stay at
a hotel in Colombo
Day 06 : Colombo Departure
Morning proceed to airport in time to connect your flight to onward
destination.
