Day 01 : Delhi
Arrive at Delhi. Welcome at the airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 02 : Delhi - Jaipur
Morning tour of Old Delhi. It is a 17th century walled city with its
splendid gates, narrow alleys, the enormous Bazaar. Visit Red Fort, Jama
Masjid and Raj Ghat.Afternoon tour of New Delhi with wide tree lined
avenues, parks and fountains surroundings the imposing government and state
Buildings. Visit Humayun's Tomb, an observatory called Jantar Mantar, Qutab
Minar, India Gate and President House. Leave for Jaipur (252 kms/5 hrs).
Check in at the hotel. Jaipur city was founded by Maharaja Jai Singh in
1727. It is a magnificent planned city built of rose-pink coloured stones
that is why it is also called as "Pink City". Overnight stay in
hotel.
Day 03 : Jaipur
Morning excursion to Amer Fort. Ascend by painted elephant up to fort with
its huge gateways and pillared pavilions. It has a marble Palace, Temple of
victory and Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors). Afternoon City tour of Jaipur.
Visit City Palace and Museum. Nearby is the ornate Hawa Mahal (Palace of
winds) which is five stories high and is decorated with delicate screens
carved from stone. Also visit Jantar Mantar. Observatory, which is still
equipped with immense, brick and mortar instrument. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 04 : Jaipur - Agra
Morning leave for Agra (232 kms / 5 hrs). Stop enroute and visit Fatehpur
Sikri, undoubtedly the best-preserved Mughal Palace City of all. Built by
Great Akbar around 1570, he used the highest quality craftsman to construct
the city only to abandon it some fourteen years later when it is said that
the water system failed. Proceed to Agra and check in at the hotel and
overnight stay.
Day 05 : Agra
Morning City tour of Agra, which was once the capital of Mughal India, and
centre of great power and glory. Visit world famous "Taj Mahal"
the monument of love immortalized in marble. It was built by Emperor Shah
Jahan in the memory of his Queen Mumtaj. Also visit Fort and Sikandra.
Overnight Stay at hotel.
Day 06 : Agra - Khajuraho
Transfer
to airport to catch flight for Khajuraho. Arrival and transfer- to hotel.
Khajuraho was Capital of Chandela rulers who ruled between 9th and 13th
centuries. Today, Khajuraho has no more than 22 temples but enough to show
the world its former glory. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 07 : Khajuraho - Varanasi
Morning visit the temples which are famous for erotic sculptures. Afternoon
transfer to airport to catch flight for Varanasi. Arrive at Varanasi and
transfer to hotel. Varanasi is most important place of pilgrimage for Hindus
and the sight of devout praying standing water deep in Ganges. Overnight
stay at hotel.
Day 08 : Varanasi
Early Morning boat tour on River Ganges to visit Bathing Ghats, return to
hotel for breakfast. City tours of Varanasi visiting various temples and
noted Banaras Hindu University. Afternoon excursion to Sarnath. It was here
that the Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon and set in motion the wheel
of law of Buddhist faith. Overnight at hotel.
Day 09 : Varansi - Kathmandu
Morning transfer to airport to catch flight for Kathmandu. Arrival at
Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free. Overnight stay at
hotel.
Day 10 : Kathmandu
Morning City tour of Kathmandu visiting Darbar Square, Palace and also
visit an ancient Buddhist monastery known as Swayambhunath. Afternoon visit
to Patan city. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 11 : Kathmandu
Morning visit to Bhadgaon, a medieval city, Buddhnath and Pashupatinath
temple. Afternoon free for shopping or independent activities. Overnight
stay at hotel.
Day 12 : Kathmandu
Transfer to airport to catch flight for onward destination.
