Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
Meeting and assistance and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 : Delhi
After breakfast, full-day sight seeing of Delhi, visiting Laxmi Narayan
Temple, Hanuman Mandir, India Gate, Gauri Shankar Mandir, Bhai 'Lotus'
Temple, Chhattarpur Mandir and Akshardham Temple. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 : Delhil - Haridwar - Rishikesh
After breakfast, depart by car / coach for Haridwar (200 kms / 5 hrs.) the
holy city of Northern India situated at the base of Shivalik Hills, where
the Ganges River coming down from the high Himalaya passes through. It is
perhaps one of the oldest Hindu cities and believed to date back to around
1700 BC. The most sacred place in Haridwar remains the Har-Ki-Puri where
people take a dip in the holy River Ganges to cleanse them of their sins.
Haridwar, even today remains a mirror of Hindu religion, of the unshakable
faith of Indian in their Gods and culture. Afternoon tour of Haridwar,
visiting Har-Ki-Pauri, Mansa Devi Temple, Daksh Mahadev Temple and Sapt
Rishi Ashram.
Proceed further north by car / coach to
Rishikesh (24 kms / 1 hrs.) a complex of three localities, where the holy
River Ganges cuts her passage through the last foothills on her journey down
the mountains and enters the plains. The first being the area around the
famous Laxman Jhoola, which lends it name to the locality; then comes Muni
Ji Reti (sands of the sages) where the wise ones spend time in devotion,
mediation and yoga; and then comes the expanding township on the bank of the
river. The whole complex is called Rishikesh. Rishikesh is important not
only as a pilgrimage center closely with Ramayana but also as a home for
many important center of Hindu religious thoughts and spirituality. In the
evening, we participate in the Aarti at Triveni Ghat. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 04 : Rishikesh - Delhi (224kms/6hrs)
After breakfast, visit the Laksman Jhoola-a suspension bridge across the
River Ganges which spans the river along the old foot-route to the holy
shrines of Badrinath and Kedarnath. Also visit Laxman Temple, Swargashram,
Geeta Bhawan and Parmarth Niketan. Afternoon, we return by car / coach to
Delhi. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 05 : Delhi - Back Home
After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to onward journey/back
home. (Hotel checkout 12:00 Hrs).
